The daytime brought some rough moments (nausea and vomiting), but also some good moments -- even a few smiles and glimpses of the 'old Anna'. Anna got up and walked a tiny bit, and everyone was remarking on how terrific it is for her to be able to hold her head up, hold her balance, and be able to walk this soon after her surgery. So, even though to us, things seem a bit rough, to those who have seen other children on this path, Anna is experiencing a fast-paced recovery.
We did catch a smile on camera:
See! There she is! The Anna we know and love. We only had the smile for a few moments, but those moments were golden!
Would you like to see what we see each day?

So wonderful to see that sweet smile! And I am amazed at this girl!!! Geez! Up and walking after brain surgery...she is a gift! Praying for all of you!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord for a face-paced recovery! What my prayer has been. So good to see that quick smile and up out of bed for a little! Amazing! May each day bring new steps of recovery. Thanks for keeping us posted. Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful smile.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing that sweet smile :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you for advocating for her to help try to make sure she's as comfortable as can be. Know that many of us are rallying around you in prayer still at all hours of the day and night - and in time zones spanning the globe!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see her sweet smile - and that's got to be encouraging for you to hear that she's actually on a fast-track recovery wise, and something to hold onto in the moments where things don't seem to be progressing quite like you'd like.
Praying, praying!
Praying now as y'all begin a new day that you will be encouraged, strengthened, knowing so many are praying for Anna and the other children.
