A little taste of WalMart

Yes, friends, Wal-Mart is in China. We have trekked there nearly every day in search of one thing or another. Like the U.S., the store has groceries and daily necessities as well as clothing, toys, and most anything you might need. However, there are some things that are, well, a little different. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Amelia AiChun - Age 8
Amelia was adopted at age 2 from The People's Republic of China. She is in 2nd grade this year. She loves to do ballet, take care of the little girls, and write on anything and everything. She is my "little old lady" - she frets and fusses and fears. Amelia was born with a heart defect that God healed and with vision challenges that she is overcoming. Amelia is the child who made me a mother, the one who opened my eyes and my heart to children in need around the world. Love that Chunster!

Anna XiaoChun - Age 5
Anna Joy XiaoChun was adopted from Anyang, Henan, China. She joined our family just a few weeks shy of her 5th birthday. She is deaf and is learning to sign. She loves to play outside - she would swing all day long if we would let her! She is spunky and exuberant and always on the go. We can't wait to see what special things God has in store for her. He broke the mold when He made Anna. She's the go-go girl, and we love her!

Lucy Yu-An, Age 3
Lucy was born in Taitung, Taiwan, and was adopted at age 2. Her favorite things are naps, books, rocking with her Mama. She loves babies and animals. She has a cute sense of humor and compassionate spirit. She is part turkey-bird, part little girl. She is the funny bone of our family. We love our Lucy!

November 24, 2011 - HOME! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.” Isaiah 55:12-13

Wow! Walmart's in China? Maybe they'll come to Jordan too!
ReplyDeleteSO blessed to read your blog and about your beautiful growing family!! I praise Him for each of your girls and for giving you to each other...He is totally in the adoption business. His Son took care of all the paperwork for us, right?

What a blessing it is just to read what is happening over there. I see great things. This is just the beginning of something fantastic. Enjoy every moment. We can't wait to see everyone. We are continuing to pray for the entire group. May God bless you all and China! Steve and Cyn
